Nursing Home Schedule

Saturday, April 26th - Nursing Home Performance @ West Lafayette Nursing & Rehab Center.
  • Only half of our students will perform in this show. The student list for this nursing home show is the same as the list for the early recital show. We realize this is confusing, but your teacher will clarify.
  • Students must be at the nursing home by 1:30 already dressed in their costume. We will stretch all together and the show will start at 2:00.
  • Students may leave when their own dance is done. We do not do any kind of finale or final bow at the end of this performance, so there is no reason for them to stick around.
  • Please do not bring extra people with you to the nursing home performance. It is VERY crowded in the performance area with all of the residence and the performers. If all of our students come with one parent who drove them, we will be bringing about 150 people to the nursing home. The more extra people we bring, the more crowded, hot, and miserable we will be.
  • Just remember, this performance is for the enjoyment of the nursing home residents, and is a great opportunity for our students to practice their dance in front of a forgiving audience.
  • If you are not able to attend, please let your teacher know.

Saturday, May 3rd - Nursing Home Performance @ Riverside Manor Nursing Home

  • Only half of our students will perform in this show. The student list for this nursing home show is the same as the list for the later recital show. We realize this is confusing, but your teacher will clarify.
  • Students must be at the nursing home by 1:30 already dressed in their costume. We will stretch all together and the show will start at 2:00.

Dress Rehearsal

Thursday, May 29th - Technical Rehearsal @ Ridgewood High School

  • Only the following students will rehearse: Tia Shuss, Brittany Abner, Leigha Thursby, Natalie Amore, Bailey Stull, Elisabeth Stark, Anniedale Johns, Allison Vogel, and Kianna Ghezzi.
  • All adult technical and stage crew are asked to attend. This will give us ample time to aim lights, make sure sound and video is working, and test headsets before the real dress rehearsal.
  • An exact time schedule for tech rehearsal will be posted later in the year.

Friday, May 30th - Dress Rehearsal @ Ridgewood High School

  • All students are required to attend dress rehearsal. A specific time schedule for each class will be posted later in the spring. We usually begin around 4pm with the predancers, and proceed through all of our classes ending with the older kids.
  • Students may leave when their class is finished. However, this is really their only opportunity to watch the other classes, so students are welcome to stay and watch if they are accompanied by a parent.
  • Dress rehearsal is NOT A PERFORMANCE. Please do not bring extra people with you. This is an opportunity for the students to practice on the stage with lighting, costume, hair, etc.

Thursday 3:15 & 5:45 Ballet Monday 8:00 Tap
  • Predance and K-Combo students will be doing a tap and a ballet dance. Both of their dances will be in the same recital. Usually one dance will be before intermission and the other will be after to give the students ample time to change costume pieces and shoes as necessary.
  • Please remember: Recital day is a very special day for the students. They have worked every week for 9 months for their time to shine. Do your best to clear your schedule for most of the day. Running from one activity to another on recital day and making the children rush can result in tears and meltdowns!
